The 2013 Honda CRF450R comes with a big changes and totally redesigned of previous CRF450R. The all-new air-fork front suspension, two pounds lighter than a coil-spring fork, it offers easier adjustment, less internal friction, and even better handling. It is the most dialed-in bike and still the lightest weight in its class. Check it out on other motocross 450cc class products such as Suzuki RM Z450, Kawasaki KX450F, KTM 450 SXF, and Yamaha YZ450F. The system moves the mufflers to the bike’s center of mass, short and compact, and work in perfect new bodywork to make this the most flick-able. Twin-muffler setup helps to whip and scrub and also contributes to the bikes improved power, while keeping it quiet at 94db. The engine has a new piston shape, porting, and valve timing, along with more compression for more power. 2013 Honda CRF450R Features

Engine and Transmission – A new cylinder-head design and a new piston give a boost in compression for more horsepower. The piston is shot-peened with a moly-coating treatment to help reduce friction. The fuel injection makes a difference with a bike in this class with a new settings that improves low and mid-range performance. Fine-tuning it to specific track conditions with Genuine Accessory HRC Fuel-Injection Setting Tool easily. Totally redesigned with new six-spring clutch design improves durability and provides better lever feel. It uses an exclusive twin-muffler setup, it is the way shorter and lower tucking in much closer to the bike’s center of mass, and also contributes to the bike’s improved power.
Chassis and Suspension – An all-new twin-spar aluminum chassis was designed specifically to work with new air fork. A perfect match of suspension action, steering feedback, and chassis stiffness and compliance with a lower center of gravity. A new improvement by eliminating the conventional steel spring, it almost two pounds lighter in front suspension. The 48mm inverted KYB PSF® (Pneumatic Spring Fork) improves tracking by getting the tire back on the ground quicker. The new fork, chassis, sub-frame and revised rear suspension mean we had to create a new swingarm as well, which optimizes vertical and horizontal rigidity on 2013 Honda CRF450R.
