The 2013 KTM 450 SXF sets a new benchmark among the 450 four-stroke in terms of performance and maneuverability with its easy handling, and ready to challenge the other products such as Yamaha YZF 450, Suzuki RM Z450, Honda CRF450X, and Kawasaki KX450F. It comes with a completely new, significantly lighter engine and featuring groundbreaking injection technology. All packed into a chassis, which has been improved massively in terms of bodywork, frame and suspension. The crankshaft with a 63.4 mm stroke is equipped for bearing in the lower conrod eye, comparing with previous model. It is also equipped with easy starting with simply press of a button, an invaluable benefit in motocross battle. The ergonomics and function of the plastics have been designed in such a way that the whole chassis and engine package forms a perfect harmony with the rider down to the very last detail, as seen on other 2013 SX models, such as KTM 50 SX, 85 SX, 125 SX, and 150 SX. A pioneering structure and improved attachment of the fender to the triple clamp result in up to 50% greater lateral stiffness. Find more detail specification and features on 2013 KTM 450 SXF.

2013 KTM 450 SXF Features
Engine and Transmission – The SOHC SX-F engine offers more power, a cylinder head reconfigured for optimal motocross characteristics with a very broad rev range. Extremely compact and lightweight construction. A new DDS clutch (Damped Diaphragm Steel) with a wear-free steel cage is fitted to the engine, allowing use of thin steel discs for minimum overall width. It reduces the operating force required to pull the clutch, and provides space for integrated hub damping, resulting more traction and protection for the transmission. Hydraulic clutch actuation from Brembo, the rider has everything under control right from the start.
Chassis and Suspension – The modern frame design of lightweight, high strength, chrome-molybdenum steel section tubes guarantees an ideal mix of longitudinal and torsional stiffness. This leads to an improvement in tracking stability accompanied by a reduction in weight. The 48 mm upside-down fork featuring closed-cartridge technology has been optimized with completely revamped settings for perfect harmony with the new frame and engine. The cast aluminium swingarm has been developed for minimum weight with optimum stiffness and sufficient flex. Redesigned the rear section of the swingarm to allow installation of a thicker rear wheel axle for the benefit of better tracking stability, and in reducing weight by more than 100 g by revising the bolts, cups and nuts on the linkage of 2013 KTM 450 SXF.
