The 2013 KTM 85 SX is the perfect mini-cross bike to start the young rider to the professional motocross championship. It comes with two size 17/14 and 19/16, more powerful engine, new bodywork, and completely revamped chassis. The restyled, aggressive looking bodywork provides improved ergonomics and is directly derived from the new SX generation. In 85cc class competition, it will be great fight to another products from other manufacturers such as Yamaha YZ 85, Kawasaki KX 85, Honda CRF80F, and Suzuki RM 85. Together with the frame, the tank, spoiler, airbox and newly developed seat form a homogenous unit, ensuring perfect harmony between rider and motorcycle, the KTM’s engineers believe that it will take to top of the podium. 2013 KTM 85 SX Features

Engine and Transmission – The sensational engine has been completely overhauled and delivers its power over a wide rev range with development on its intake membrane and intricate exhaust control. New and more compact cylinder with 47 mm bore ensures that achieves much better cylinder charging, more efficiently designed, centrifugally-controlled exhaust valve. Together with a new cylinder head, which is now also connected to the frame, the new engine therefore produces significantly more power from mid-range to top-end engine speeds. The six-speed transmission always has the right gear ratio available.
Chassis and Suspension – The new, high quality, chrome-molybdenum steel frame and the redesigned, bolt-on, lightweight aluminium sub-frame have been further refined in many details. As on the full-size bikes, the frame impresses with more precise cornering characteristics. Additional aluminium profiles ensure better stability. Rebound and compression damping can be adapted individually to track and rider in no time at all with the proven 43 m upside-down fork with 270 mm suspension travel and the improved PDS shock absorber ensure optimum traction and suspension comfort on the KTM 85 SX 2013.
