Engine and Transmission – The 530cc engine has been redesigned and rebuilt with a host of lighter and more efficient components and results new levels of incredibly strong torque in the low to mid-speed ranges. V-belt automatic transmission with a new belt drive that is constructed from lightweight, durable aramid fibre. It allows power to be delivered in an extremely linear fashion, connecting the throttle more closely to the engine.
Chassis and Suspension – New lightweight die-cast aluminium frame for low-speed maneuverability and impressive stability at high speeds. The suspension lifts both handling and comfort to new levels, providing excellent cornering, stability and overall feel. The strong rear shock is complemented by motorcycle-style telescopic front forks that highly resistant to twisting, keep the front wheel tracking straight in various road conditions. Modern instrument panel provides all key ride information at a glance, two distinctive polygon-shaped analogue counters make striking new additions and a new LED tail lamp is taken straight from Yamaha’s flagship super-sport bikes, it makes more sporty look on 2012 Yamaha TMAX.
