KTM 1190 RC8 R

The KTM 1190 RC8 R design in low weight and perfect chassis geometry. By positioning the silencer under the engine, mass centralization, also contributes to its easy handling and razor-sharp precision. Marchesini lighweight aluminium die-cast wheels on the RC8 R are equipped with Dunlop SportSmart tyres. This KTM’s bike not only offers extraordinarily relaxed ergonomics for all its supreme sportiness as on KTM 125 Duke and KTM 690 Duke, but also more ergonomic setting options than any other series production superbike. Combined with Keihin engine management system with twin throttle valves regulates the modern electronic fuel injection system on the RC8 R. Find more about its new features and detail specification on KTM 1190 RC8 R.

KTM 1190 RC8 R Features

Engine and Transmission – The V2 on the KTM RC8 R can be considered as the measure of all things for ultra-sporty twins, with maximum performance. V-twin with 75° cylinder angle are the ultra-modern cylinder heads with twin plug ignition, flow-optimised ducts and cam follower drive. Modern electronic fuel injection system on these bike, focussing on maximum power with predictable engine characteristics and spontaneous responsiveness with controllable throttle response. Piston structure on the RC8 R, borrowed from Formula 1, resulting a high piston loading capacity.
Chassis and Suspension – Lightweight tubular space frame made from high-strength chrome-molybdenum steel sets standards in dimensional stability and lightweight construction. Also the swingarm makes a significant contribution to the outstanding traction of the RC8 R. Progressiveness of the linkage provides the shock absorber with refined responsiveness and still with sufficient reserves at peak loads. The sophisticated internal mechanism of the WP shock absorber on the RC8 R completely isolates the rebound damping from the compression stage. High-quality, upside-down forks from WP Suspension suffice separately for spring basis. The brake system with highest quality Brembo® components functions perfectly, sensitively and steadily on KTM 1190 RC8 R.
